About Lobkovice
Chateau Lobkovice, just 30 km north of Prague, offers a breathtaking setting for weddings, having evolved from a "lost place" to a beautiful venue. Couples can choose from diverse romantic locations like the castle garden, riverside by the Elbe, a forest setting, a rustic barn, or the Gothic cellars of the castle for their special day. The chateau has a rich history, enduring looting and neglect during the Thirty Years' War until its restoration began in 1679 under Prince Ferdinand August of Lobkovice with Italian architect Antonio della Porta. After various ownerships and renovations, including by Jan Měchura in 1829, the chateau was nationalized in 1948, and returned to the Lobkowicz family post-1989. Now, it is managed by Maximilian Mues, marking a new chapter in its storied legacy.
